I believe that my 30 years experience in Tupperware and my 5 years volunteering with Family Promise uniquely qualify me for this position.
I am driven to enthusiastically represent organizations I believe in, such as Family Promise, via my personal connections, in major events and with whatever marketing tools are available. I am a goal-driven fundraising professional with 30 years experience in lead generation via in person or phone calls and now via our new virtual way of doing things. I realize the importance of cultivating long-lasting relationships for the benefit of the organization and the team.
I am willing to learn some of the areas I am weaker in, such as grant writing and I am a capable and enthusiastic learner.
I am a strong team player and believe very much in working together with everyone, volunteer and staff alike.
I would like to add, that, if you consider me for this position, I would like to request that it begin as a part time position, working into a full time position as some point. I do not know if that is possible, but I am hoping that we can work something out, if you believe I am the correct fit for the position.

Organized event facility, food and beverage selections, oversaw event logistics and scheduled venue for the annual fundraising GALA. In addition to this, I also worked with the Events team to oversee decorations, media and all the other items that were needed to put this event together. Also created the budget for the event, as well as setting the fundraising goal to exceed our 2020 funds raised. Not only did we exceed last year's amount raised, but we exceeded our 2021 Goal and we were under budget in expenses.
In addition to this large event, I also oversaw another small Art event earlier in the year which brought in funds for Family Promise.
For the past 30 years I have led a very successful Tupperware team. We consistently rank in the top 100 in the Nation, and quite often in the top 50 -25 teams in the Nation.
These are the skills that are required to make that happen:
Personally selling products to customers both via a group presentation, as well as one on one sales. To set up these opportunities for sales, I have had to do prospecting, make cold calls, follow up calls and every avenue of lead generation that is possible.
In addition to my own personal sales, which typically average $50,000+ a year, I have built an organization that typically exceeds $500,000 a year, in fact we just ended 2021 with almost $700,000 in organization sales.
In building that organization I am continually adding new members to the team, building relationships with those new members as well as training them in how do to their own personal sales. I also train them in how to add others to the team as well, and if they desire, I train them to train others as well. That puts me in the position of training the trainers.
In addition to training my own team, I have done training at both the local, regional and national level, doing talks in front of groups as large as 500+ people.
Recently, with the changes in our world, I have now learned how to do all of the above things virtually. I regularly do Facebook marketing, as well as ZOOM meetings. I have always done a lot of phone calls and now that has increased, in addition to email communication, along with texting and Facebook messaging has become a consistent form of contact both with my customers, my team and with those that provide support to me.
Gave presentations at public gatherings, community events and school meetings. Cultivated and developed relationships with existing and potential referral sources, identified new partners, uncovered untapped opportunities and raised awareness about Family Promise in the greater Wichita area.
I received a Certificate in Christian Spiritual Formation
