  • Ensure the development of quality educational programming for the TRIO Educational Talent Search (ETS) grant for participants in the Prairie State College 515 district.
  • Participants are provided support services in a manner consistent with college policies, the objectives, and standards of the U.S.Department of Education guidelines for TRIO Educational Talent Search and federal regulations governing grant programs.
  • Responsible for the development, marketing, implementation and administration of a comprehensive academic support program to increase the retention and graduation rates of eligible participants, low income or first-generation students or students with disabilities and academic need from feeder high schools and middle schools within Prairie State College service area.
  • Provide alternative education programs for secondary school dropouts, entry into general educational development programs or post-secondary education; and programs and activities previously mentioned that are specially designed for students who are limited English proficient, students from groups that are traditionally underrepresented in post-secondary.

  • The show discusses issues of today's youth, currently airing on local cable stations.
  • Supervise all aspects of events: Select site, negotiate terms of event, decide on speakers, refreshments and make all special arrangements required.
