  • Develop and maintain effective and efficient bus routes using Edolug Advanced & Esql web based routing software. Create new bus routes and bus stops as needed. Locate students' addresses and closest bus stops to their residence and assign them to stops. Use Maris map to add new streets, address ranges, and any school boundary changes.
  • Make decisions in reference to placement of bus stops by physical inspection of location to ensure student safety and distance from other bus stops. Add any new stops to Edulog and the drivers route sheet as needed. Inform drivers of any new stop locations on their routes. Send correspondence to schools and parents when bus routes are changed.
  • For end of the year reporting, use Edulog to show all students that live within 1 1/2 miles of their schools. Complete yearly reports and keep records as required by the Department of Education.
  • Use Fuel Master Live to add new vehicles to the Fuel Master Fuel System and encode fuel keys for them by the bus number. Add new employees to the fuel system with their names and their employee identification numbers.
  • Use two-way radio to communicate with drivers and school personnel.
  • Coordinate with bus drivers for route coverage when drivers are off their bus routes. Send emails to schools to inform them of bus changes daily and to let them know if buses are running late in the morning and afternoon.
  • Use Powerschool to print out the list of students that are assigned to the bus routes with student addresses and parent contact information. Send one-calls to parents when their student's bus is running late in the morning and afternoon as needed.
  • Approve or disapprove Shuttle Request Forms from school staff for their students to ride shuttle buses between schools if shuttles are already established and bus is not at full capacity.
  • Create bus lineups for each school for students safety and by which bus travels the farthest from the school.

  • Responsible for signing out and receiving keys to each section for their equipment and to the various gates and buildings. Made sure all keys were turned in at the end of every day and locked in the safe for security of equipment.
  • Review equipment log books for accuracy. Prepare maintenance request forms for equipment that requires repairs that can not be made at the organizational shop level.
