Growing up, my Dad was a master electrician and now works chicken houses, which is a mixture of duties such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, maintenance, troubleshooting, lawn care, dirt work, and constantly determining problems and solving them. With that being said, at a very young age, I learned a lot about electrical, poultry farming, and how to be a respectful, reliable, and most importantly, Christian man. While I was in High School, I would work for Claire's Electric out of Newport, Arkansas during the summers and any other free time that I had. I performed tasks such as: wiring new construction houses, troubleshooting customer's houses, replacing breakers, wiring electrical panels, wiring lighting, installing security cameras, running wire and conduit, digging ditches, setting transformers, and many other electrical tasks. After High School, I received a basketball scholarship and continued my education at North Arkansas College. At North Ark, I learned to be more patient and disciplined while on job sites and in the classroom with other individuals. On the job sites, I did tasks such as: new installations, fixing ice machines, troubleshooting units, welding and brazing, installing defrost timers, putting together and working on walk-in freezer/coolers, working on residential and commerical refrigerators, building and putting together sheet metal for duct work, working with gas meters, fixing gas furnaces, working with geothermal units, used refrigerants to charge units, maintenanced HVACR equipment, and installed and fixed heat pump systems. While completing the eleven-month HVACR program that I was in, I tested over certain materials in order to receive my NATE, ICE, OSHA SAFETY, and EPA UNIVERSAL certificates. I recently graduated and completed the program with All-American certificates in the classroom and am now prepping to take my Class A HVAC licensure exam so that I will be a certified HVAC contractor. I plan to take my exam within the next couple of months. I also plan to work toward receiving my electrical license, general contractor license, and other licenses. My intent for this job is to work with and among good people who love their job as much as I will, provide for my family, and better myself while doing it. Hopefully with the certificates and experience I have is enough to be considered for the service tech pay at Cedar Ridge School District.
I graduated Bradford High School as an honor grad, a member of the Jr. and Sr. beta club, and played basketball throughout my entire High School career.
My eleven-month, continued education, at North Arkansas College, consisted of me getting my Heating, Ventilation, Air-conditioning, and refrigeration technology (HVACR) certificate. I also worked for and received my NATE, ICE, EPA UNIVERSAL, and OSHA SAFETY certificates as well. In order to earn the certificates that I received, I would spend most of my day on a job site working on HVACR equipment with others on my team. We would work in settings such as attics, crawl-spaces, and roof-tops at residential and commercial buildings everyday from 8 am to 4 pm. I graduated the program that I was in with All-American Certificates while playing on a basketball scholarship at North-Ark.
