I began my career working at Stanford Children's Hospital, primarily in the Information Technology (IT) department supporting and managing projects related to electronic medical system implementations. After 15 years working in the healthcare IT field, I decided to follow my heart and passion by changing careers to become a teacher. It was the best decision I could have made! I love teaching children! I am very excited and motivated to create a fun, safe, and engaging classroom that supports diverse learning styles and needs and helps student learn and develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
In this role I was responsible for creating, maintaining, and implementing best practices in the Revenue Cycle departments (Referral Center, Scheduling areas, Registration/Front Desk staff, Surgery Schedulers Authorization staff, Financial Counselors, Admitting dept, Case Management, Rehab Services, Patient Placement, Patient Experience, HIMS, Professional Billing and Hospital Billing departments.)
