  • Organize production of marketing, media and public relations efforts to include live TV, radio and print publication interviews, press releases, ad promotions, billboards and promotional video production for festivals and events.
  • Protect brand and image while managing development and drafting editorial for programs, flyers, posters, ads, drop cards and sponsorship prospectus.
  • Maintain, manage and ensure content is accurate and current for two web sites and social media campaign is effectively administered.
  • Manage relationships with media outlets and ensure communication strategy is consistent and reflects the vision.
  • Respond to all media requests and inquiries offering interviews, editorial or other written form.
  • Compose proclamations, welcome speeches and coordinate special appearances on behalf of the offices of the City of Midwest City Mayor and City Manager. 
  • Implement marketing strategies geared towards target markets to attract and sell group, conference and leisure business in addition to rebuilding a positive community image.
  • Engage in direct sales efforts to reach prospective leads though convention bids, targeted sales missions, qualified sales calls, sales blitzes, participation in trade shows and B2B leads.
  • Communicate as a liaison between meeting planners, tour operators, travel agents, hotel partners, restaurants, destinations, conference facilities and attractions.
  • Draft, produce and market the biennial Midwest City Visitors Guide for eight years distributing 25,000 copies annually.
  • Lead innovator and program manager for events with over 100 exhibitors and attendance up to 60,000. Craft marketing and sponsorship campaigns, organize logistics, entertainment, vendors, volunteers, entertainment, VIP functions and budgets.
  • Communicate program assignments, actionable items, milestones, and deadlines with other departments and third party contractors. Lead team in distribution of assigned tasks and balance workload with workflow and job specializations. Maintain staff knowledge to empower them with objective decision making abilities.
  • Recruit and identify assets and training requirements of volunteers. Create job descriptions, lead orientation meetings and manage 50-350 volunteers per event.
  • Collaborate with Oklahoma Legislature while composing grant applications for funds $25,000 - $85,000. Develop sponsorship campaigns with values up to $27,000 with benefits that foster a return on investment.
  • Community partner with Tinker AFB for the Star Spangled Salute Air Show since 2004. Core air show planning committee member collaborating with Public Affairs, Force Support Services, Security Forces and other community partners adhering closely to the AFI.
  • Forecast funds and implement processes to formulate, justify and execute an annual operating budget. Monitor budget obligations, expenditures and requests for allowances to ensure funds are being spent in accordance with work plans.
  • Improve financial status and realize savings of $150,000+ annually by identifying trends, protecting assets, reusing supplies, selling sponsorships, engaging in trade agreements and evaluation of expenses.
  • Draft, coordinate and manage over 100 supplier, vendor and sponsor contracts to final execution.
  • Develop, prepare and present terms and conditions of contract awards. Communicate procurement needs, terms of service, delivery and performance schedules. Monitor contract performance to determine necessary changes and ensure compliance with contract obligations and requirements offering renegotiations or contract termination.
  • Oversaw Tourist Information Center operations promoting local, regional and statewide attractions and destinations across Oklahoma. Supervised Travel Information Center Coordinator, two part-time travel counselors and 12 volunteers.
