I plan and execute events geared toward raising funds for and awareness of the organization. In this capacity, I develop the event budget, interact with vendors, create event timelines, solicit sponsors, and coordinate with the board and volunteers to ensure the success of the event. I cultivate donor/sponsor and media relationships, maintain the donor database (The Raiser's Edge and Salesforce), develop and carry out mass mailings/emails, and coordinate social media. In conjunction with the development team, I have aided in the development and implementation of the department's Development Plan and associated job descriptions. Since joining the team, I have raised the profile of the organization through the development and implementation of several new fundraising events, increased the constituent base, and strengthened existing relationships with local media and businesses. In 2014, our largest annual fundraising event was voted "Best Local Charity Event" in an Arkansas Times Reader Poll. At the organization, I have taken advantage of many training opportunities to further develop my skills and understanding of non-profits.
