Graduate Assistant, 01/1 to Current
The Little Rock Kickball Association, LLC – City, STATE,
I created the largest single city adult kickball league in the nation, currently with over 100 teams and nearly 2000 participants. I wrote the Articles of Incorporation, By-laws, rule book, and create all necessary forms. I also designed and actively maintain the website, work to obtain sponsorships, handle marketing/promotions, as well as handle the logistics/scheduling of the league. The league has been the subject of a full length documentary and numerous articles in local and nationwide publications including The Christian Science Monitor, The New York Times, and others. Recently, Al Jazeera America spotlighted the impressive diversity and social impact of the league. In conjunction with the LRKA, I started and was granted Non-Profit status by the IRS for this charitable organization. I wrote the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws for the organization and, in conjunction with the Board of Directors, plan and execute numerous community service projects and fundraising events. Through this organization, we have raised and donated nearly $350k in cash and in-kind donations to numerous local charities. Activities include a nationwide invitational kickball tournament complete with live music, vending, rides and a gala as well as many other fundraising/community service efforts. I have worked closely with donors, volunteers, vendors, and local media to ensure the success of the organization. At UCA, I have taught Composition I and Composition II. In that capacity, I developed the course syllabi and the overall course structure and all related materials. I administered all grades, assessments, and worked vigorously with my students. I also attended regular faculty enrichment seminars. While at UCA, I continually received high marks as an instructor both from my peers and my students. At these schools, I taught Composition Fundamentals / Grammar, Composition I, Composition II, and World Literature I and II. In that capacity, I developed the course syllabi and the overall course structure and all related materials. I administered all grades, assessments, and worked vigorously with my students.
