  • Lead, assist, train, and otherwise support the efforts of the Agency's Groups to meet MBE & SBR goals.
  • Review those goals requested by project managers and set final goals for all formal procurements, sole source contracts, contract amendments and extensions.
  • For procurement in excess of $200,000 or other statutory amounts, lead Procurement Review Group (PRG) in setting goals and reviewing requests for waivers.
  • Completes and submits all MBE compliance reports including the annual MBE participation report.
  • Also, monitor and publish regular report updates on Agency's progress toward meeting annual MBE participation goals.
  • Attend pre-bid conferences to deliver MBE statements and provide direction to prime vendors and MBE subcontractors relating to COMAR; establishes MBE sub-contractor payment verification system and field compliance audits.
  • In addition, as liaison, I coordinate and schedule all of the agency's outreach events.
  • Coordinating administrative activities for the Office of the Secretary that includes managing GovDeals and the Federal Surplus Program.
  • In addition, overseeing all operations with the State of Maryland's Print Shop, Mailroom and the liaison between the Secretary, Deputy Secretary and Procurement & Logistics Division.
  • This position also involved managing social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Flickr) writing press releases, preparing reports, correspondence, budgets and other required documentation for the Office of the Secretary.
