Summary

Empowering students with the knowledge and skills for lifetime activities and fitness is one of my many goals that I have as a physical education teacher. I am constantly working to improve my understanding of the various domains such as psychomotor, affective and cognitive in order to better serve and teach my students. Developing a curriculum where students are provided a bevy of sports that they can use t express themselves and connect the themes that they learn to their lives is a vital aspect of physical education. I have always wanted the best for my students and my goal has always been for my students to be physically education individuals so they can participate in life-long physical activity.

Along with being a physical education teacher, I have always loved coaching and teaching a variety of sports. As a coach, you are given a significant role in your athletes lives. One of my core beliefs as a coach is to, not only, provide coaching advice but also develop the individual into a well-rounded student-athlete. All student-athletes are competitors and want to win but I want to teach and instill the right way to compete. How to be a good teammate, how to carry yourself off the field/court, how to be leaders on and off the team. As a coach, I know it is my responsibility to train my student-athlete in the skill for that sport and develop them to be fully functioning adults in others aspects of their lives.
