I am currently a Home Decor Sales Associate and until recently, an elementary school Sign Language Interpreter. I'm looking to venture onto a new path to see where my skills and adaptability can take me in the realm of Childhood Art education.
Considering my Bachelors of Fine Art education from California State University Fullerton, I believe my background and experience will benefit your School. I am also excited to learn of new possibilities where I can grow into a position and I could learn new skills.
I am looking forward to saying goodbye to the retail world and put my degree to good use. Also, The position I hold as an interpreter now is coming to an end as they are combining classes and my services will no longer be needed so the beginning of summer is a perfect time for me to start on a new venture. Would your little clients benefit from learning some sign language? It would be a pleasure to teach them.
Anyway, after 25 years, I am closing the interpreter chapter of my life and I am more than ready to jump into something equally challenging and rewarding.
Thank you for your time!
For 25 years I had been a Sign Language Interpreter for the Deaf at Santa Ana College in California. This involved the translation of various types of class lectures into ASL (American Sign Language.) I worked with and coordinate with professors, other interpreters, and Deaf clients in order to properly facilitate all communication.
