The purpose of this study was to gather teacher point of view of peer exclusion. This research project investigated teacher's perspectives of peer exclusion and how it may affect the students academic achievement and social development. Participants were teachers from four rural school districts in Southwestern Minnesota teaching grades first through sixth grade. The data was collected using an online survey software. The teachers were asked various questions in five categories: causes of peer exclusion, effects of peer exclusion, social and academic impact, and intervention. Results indicated the teachers who participated have a basic understanding of peer exclusion, they believe academic and social issues can be linked to positive peer relationships and social interventions are essential in handling peer exclusion
