My experience in the workforce started in 2018, during my Junior year of high school in retail. In the summer of 2018, I obtained a second job in childcare. I worked two jobs over the summer and during the majority of my senior year of high school. I worked childcare five nights a week and retail over the weekends all while attending highschool full time. Eventually, I had to move on from those jobs in June 2019 to focus on my education in Phlebotomy. I attended a four week program for phlebotomy at Healthcare Training of Florida, in Spring Hill from August to September of 2019. I believe that this experience has allowed me to strengthen my people skills in the workplace to perform a successful venipuncture on anyone. This phlebotomy course was an accelerated class and was only two nights a week. I spent my school hours practicing venipuncture technique on volunteers as well as going over the textbook material. I studied the textbook cover to cover at home, passed my exam and received my certificate on time. After graduating my phlebotomy course, I worked full time as a nanny and housekeeper for a woman and her three children. Unfortunately I was let go due to covid-19.
