Experience
Department Of The Air Force - Safety
San Antonio, TX, 10/2020 - Current

I check all personnel's temperatures that enter the facility and present them with a sticker for verification of getting their temperature taken. I get new employees enrolled into the time clock, have them sign the covid-19 policy after explaining it thoroughly to them. I then take the picture for identification for their file. I answer phone calls and transfer them to the proper employee to help them with their needs. I help organize and file all office and client paper work. I also make copies and send faxes on a regular basis. I am learning how to make the employee i.d. cards and f.o.b.s. for entering the property. I also, help with interviews and give the potential new hires information to the correct leads of the desired department so they can better prepare for the up coming interview. The most important part is greeting every visitor and employee with a warm smile and pleasant greeting.

Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital - Security Officer
Selah, WA, 04/2018 - 07/2019

I had many responsibilities as a security guard. I was also, a shift lead and operated the scale house for the incoming trucks. I would start the shift by checking all the paper work and logs for the days orders and events. I made sure to check my position chart that I would make the previous week and determine who should be in what post for the day. I would answer in coming calls and transferred them to the correct office inside the plant. If they were calling in sick then I would get there name, department, I.D. number, and reason for absence. I did hourly patrols of the facility to scan barcodes and to look for any unusual activity or unauthorized personnel or unsafe equipment. If an unsafe situation occurred I was to notify the police then my boss and and plant supervisor. Never were we to engage the situation. I copied and filed paper work for 5 different offices, then organized them back in my office. I was responsible for signing in and out keys to the property. I checked employees I.d.s before they were allowed into the building. I also, operated the scale house building by weighing in and out trucks and re weighing them when they were emptied out and had to do the calculations of the weight difference. I had to use many excel programs in order to enter the information correctly. I had to use word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook, teams, adobe, documents, planner ect. I usually worked alone or with one other employee as their lead. I was the one responsible for running the shift and dealing with any issues that would arise. I have had to make quick decisions without my boss around. I had to always keep a calm head and a pleasant demeanor. We were to keep the company's information to the utter most secret and to display confidentiality no matter the situation.

Leidos Holdings Inc. - Customer Service Manager
Portland, TX, 06/2007 - 10/2016

I worked as a manager for 9 years and had many duties and responsibilities. I would start by completing the shift check list book and the positioning chart created the week before so if someone was to call in I could get someone to fill in for them faster. I would check for any malfunctioning equipment, safety equipment or, if we did not have enough of a certain product to cover the shift. If that was the case part of my job was to call other stores to try to replace the missing product. I would run the shift from the front of the store and guided the crew to a successful shift and we had service time down to award winning records. I trained new crew and managers and showed all the staff the proper safety procedures for cooking and storing food. I demonstrated the correct way to greet people and how to place the perfect order in the quickest most professional way possible. I also, dealt with angry customers that would come in and call. I was to defuse the situation and to pacify the customer to where they were calm and willing to provide us with future business. I managed the bank work and books as well. I would count down drawers and balance the safe after which I would keep the books and file the information correctly. I would use different Microsoft programs to order product for the store and for helping with schedules. I was responsible for taking the bank deposits to the bank safely. I was given an escort to my car with it. I had to travel to get product from different stores if we were low. I was responsible for making sure everyone followed all safety procedures both food and money related. I cleaned for cooperate audits and visits and handled the points of purchase for the store and advertisements including the auto greater. I also helped plan and organize birthday parties and the host them.
