Currently working a post-grad internship with Miles High Productions based out of Hollywood, CA. Work consists of the multi-media management of artist profiles and the promotion of clients. Work assignments are sent out each week via a timeline that not only designates duties but also indicates which artists need attention. At the end of each week all work is then submitted in the form of status reports.
I worked third shift, and I was responsible for not only making a processed orders rate per hour but also maintaining a quality of work percentage. I worked hands on with a computer system which allowed me access into customer profiles and accountants. My primary job was to thoroughly examine the returned items, enter the pack slip information into the system, and then determine where to send the item depending upon its condition. This job tested my computer skills, time management skills, and solo work competency. The job also challenged my ability to work for long hours, sometimes in less than ideal conditions, as the facility was air tempered which led to some hot nights in the summer. This job helps highlight that I am adaptable in situations that are less about communication and more about productivity.
As a sales associate (brand representative) and my duties were to assist customers, help lessen theft, ring up customers, keep the store clean and organized, and help with impact work. This job tested early on my skills in communication and working together in a team environment, both of which I find extremely exciting and rewarding.
