Respiratory Therapist for 23 years in the hospital, in-patient, out-patient and clinic setting, I have worked in home care as well as the manager of Health Care Plus. For most of my career I have been at the bedside in the hospital either as a manager or a worker, my goal is to provide the very best patient care possible. I have been a ACLS, NRP and BLS instructor for many years prior to continuing my education in the nursing field. I am ready to branch out and use my years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist along with my Nursing degree to become part of a motivated team that strives to provide excellence in patient care.

Working supervisor for the Respiratory Department, scheduling, floor treatments, ER treatments, OB for delivery assistance, Cardio-pulmonary Rehab, Blood gas machine QC and maintenance. Administrative in charge of budgeting in patient and out patient procedures, overtime and employee costs. Hiring, training and setting up computers with new medical record charting system. Setting up and maintaining hospital dictionaries for billing and new procedures. Filling in as needed for clinic nursing, blood draws and rooming patients. Educator for ACLS, BLS and NRP and for the Northern Cardiac network to teach in outreaching areas in Montana and Idaho.
Managing three store in Polson, Hamilton and Seeley Lake for home equipment and medical supplies. Oxygen therapy, Nebulizer therapies, CPAP/BiPAP therapy, Medical supplies. Billing for Durable Medical equipment, Insurance and being a patient advocate for supplies with insurance companies. Working with the Montana Durable Medical Companies on a board to promote home care at a state and national level.
Hired back full time at the Hospital to work in the Clinic with Dr. Rausch and on the floor as a Respiratory Therapist. Had maintained my PRN position with the hospital during my time at Health Care plus. Continued to work the ER, OB and Cardio-pulmonary rehab on the days I was not working with Dr. Rausch. Moved to the Respiratory department full time after assisting in the clinic for a year, remained PRN for the clinic. Returned to 24 flex to the Respiratory department and continued my duties while attending Nursing school on line.
Graduated from the Vo-tech and immediately had a job at Saint Joseph Hospital in Polson
I am testing at the end of May and hope to be a graduate Nurse in June.
