This letter is in reference to the position that is being offered at DC Entertainment Inc. as a Publishing Operations Analyst.
In my present role as a Junior Publishing Data Analyst at Marvel Entertainment, LLC, my core responsibilities include: project creation, data maintenance, and reporting for the entire publishing division. Using its Agile, Oracle, and Microsoft Access databases, I create projects e.g., comics, catalogs, magazines, custom projects, trade collections, and sales and marketing promotional materials from approved project specs. Once a project has been created in our databases, I edit and maintain titles, printing vendor assignments, all classification fields, item statuses, ratings, notes, item categories, pricing, and book types. By coordinating requests from sales, editorial, marketing, and special projects I update and verify changes on projects that will affect budget and scheduling. The primary objective of my role is to arrange title schedules and answer inquires to ensure all necessary items and book types are created correctly in the publishing system in order for sales to create financial forecast reports and give editorial the ability to plan out talent resources and schedules. In addition to this experience, I am detail-oriented analyst with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize. My current role in the comic book industry has afforded me the opportunity to acquire in depth experience in publishing operations, which I hope to prove valuable at DC Entertainment.
The Publishing Operations Analyst position sounds like an outstanding opportunity and I would welcome the chance for an interview to discuss the position in accordance with my experience and your requirements.
