The past year and a half I have been with the referral side of Watson Realty Corp. as I have been taking care of my mother. This transition to the referral side of business has afforded me to keep my real estate license current and active and with the opportunity to turn in referral's to generate business for myself and Watson.
I worked in the Mandarin North office with broker, Donna Overman. Over my course of two years with Donna, I learned to counsel customers on market current status for residential and land markets. I guided home buyers and sellers through the process of short sales. In addition, I generated lists of properties that were compatible with buyers' needs and financial resources and educated clients on the current real estate market and answered any questions they had. I showed residential properties and explained the features, value and benefits of available homes and successfully guided home buyers and sellers through sales and purchase of properties.
While working with Watson, I was integral part of organizing the silent auction in partnership with the JDRF and the concert with Air Traffic. I also did clerical work for my business such as creating marketing plans for my customers, coordinating appointments with prospective buyers to showcase houses and plots and wrote contract documents, purchase agreements and closing statements.
Upon college graduation, I worked in marketing for Apartment Channel TV. I handled the oversight of creating the marketing materials and marketing strategies for the company. In addition, I worked with each of our clients to generate leads for the complexes. I worked in the areas of Jacksonville, Gainesville, Daytona, Orlando and surrounding areas by receiving leads that came via our website or the television channel. Once the lead was generated, I then turned the respective lead over to the client and kept a very organized and detailed lead data base. I routinely followed up on all of our leads on a weekly, rotating basis. With marketing strategies I helped to implement, our monthly leads tripled in the first month from 75-100 leads per month, to 300-400 leads per month.
