Norc At The University Of ChicagoProcurement Supply Operations Center / Pharmacy Contracting & Strategies Work with Manager on a portfolio of contracts and commodities valued at up to $100 millions annually from inception of product need through implementation and disposal of products(s). Develops RFIs, RFQs, RFPs and request extension as needed to support business needs. Provides support and works independently on sourcing strategies for specific projects. Work includes, but is not limited to, market analysis, selection of suppliers, cost and trending analysis, determining total cost of ownership, supplier analysis, evaluation of proposals, resolution of service and invoice issues, establishing and maintaining audit trails, negotiation and identifying savings opportunities. Works with Director to prepare for contract negotiation opportunities and renewals for products. Ensures that every supplier relationship is set up for future continuous improvement and manage the measurement and review process that ensures delivery of ongoing improvement. Implements contracts that comply with Kaiser Permanente policies and procedures and that fully utilize the various systems/tools throughout the organization. Work with Rebate Assistant in auditing rebate spreadsheets to ensure rebates are accurate. Work with Financial department doing value analysis pulled from wholesalers to contract product with a value greater than $500,000 to maximize cost savings. Manage complex narrative and quantitative reports to meet information requirements, research each vendor using internal databases and external database to validate the legality of each company Kaiser Permanente does business with to be in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). Create monthly reports with manager to assure the department is meeting department goals. Screen internal candidates for minimum qualifications for all union positions in the GSAA. Complete seniority line ups for Hiring Managers, communicate with Hiring Managers during the process to ensure an applicant has been selected within 30 days to ensure compliance with the Company/Union agreement. Knowledge of all union contracts that pertain to the GSAA.
