  • Responsible for the analysis, development and customer support for Traveler's Direct Billing system, a strategic ERP system within the Traveler's Umbrella that takes in issue policies from several sources and creates billing transactions, monthly statements and commission checks and processes payments.
  • The system directly interfaces with Accounts Receivable.
  • Responsible for web services across the billing platform that play a key role in customer service as self-service payments are offered as a strategic capability to improve customer retention and flexibility.
  • Responsible for the reporting and referring of collection records to multiple 3rd party collection agencies.
  • Referral policies are stored on an integrated DBMS and are retrieved using SQL.
  • The referred polices are split between two vendor collection agencies.
  • Initial referral and subsequent information are communicated via SFTP.
  • Vendor payments are received and the remittances are electronically updated to Traveler's Host system.
  • Worked closely with the Web group to ensure Single Sign On Agent was properly administered through the web and the host.
  • The agent sign on process was streamlined and made simpler and gave agents increased visibility.
  • Worked Extensively with SQL using both DB2 and MS SQL Server.
  • The host programs access the RDBMS via embedded SQL code.

  • Responsible for the analysis, development and customer support for the software that supports the rewarding of direct loans by the Department of Education.
  • Worked closely with the Department of Education in implementing new changes for the consolidated loan process.
  • Ensured the transmission of data between all parties worked successfully.
  • Project lead for the successful development and implementation of the outreach call process.
  • This is a mission critical system utilized by Great Lakes to communicate to borrowers via call campaigns.
  • The system ensures regulatory and compliance checking which includes consent to call.
  • During the project I led two other programmers through the project life cycle including analysis and design, development and final implementation.
  • Worked directly with Navient in order to provide the seamless transfer of the Federal Student Loan Portfolio from Iowa College Student Aid Commission to the Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation.
  • Worked with Great Lakes clients to develop a school portfolio reporting portal that loads student demographic, loan, deferment and delinquency information to detail and summary DB2 tables.
  • The schools will access the information via a web portal that was developed by Great Lakes internal staff.
  • During this time I was exposed to the Banner system and related data structures.

  • Responsible for the development and customer support of all manufacturing and warehouse software for seven manufacturing facilities located across the U.S.
  • Led a team of developers to create a standard production scheduling and MRP system across all plants.
  • The system allowed each plant to increase run efficiencies and improve margins across all product lines.
  • The system changed the dynamic of the manufacturing environment allowing the plants to view each other's orders and make business decisions that flowed directly to the bottom line.
  • Major cost savings were realized throughout the division since the implementation of the system.
  • Responsible for the conversion of some of our major trading partners from EDI to XML.
  • These consist of JP Morgan, Citi Bank, First Niagara bank, M&T bank and The Relizon Company.
  • This produced major cost savings for the division and more importantly created customer loyalty and helped us distinguish ourselves from our competitors.
  • Assisted for the upgrading of the locator\tracking system from IPX Novell to an IP Windows Environment.
  • This saved the division from implementing an expensive warehouse tracking package and allowed the division to keep its customized system.
