Seasoned Human Services employee with 36 years experience mostly in Financial Services. I retired from the County last December. I find that I miss the work and contact with coworkers and the clients we served. Self motivated and love to see a project completed.

In the 1990's I volunteered at the Mount Airy Projects with mostly Hmong children. We helped with homework, reading and would have sport or a fun activity after school work was completed.
Prepared and served meals at Dorothy Day with members of the Catholic Aid.
From March thru June volunteered with the Sheriff's Department Help Team. Duties included: Served as a resource person and answered questions regarding public assistance, Completed applications for non English speaking clients and clients who were unable to complete an application, acted as an intermediary to assist clients who had issues with their cases, assisted clients who were having difficulties contacting their worker, sent out forms -shelter forms etc as needed, assisted those who called and needed food or other items (diapers etc) to make sure someone from the Help Team assisted, called several contacts I had made every few days to make sure they were OK, helped guide to other resources.
