Once accepted I travel to Basel, Switzerland to present my research.

  • At Hollins university, I work as a research assistant for this project called “The children and media project.” Created to observe, process, and analyze the behavioral reactions of children from ages 24 to 48 months with technology.
  • I also was able to travel abroad to Dodowa, Ghana, and work with vulnerable children and institutionalized care as a emotional caretaker.
  • Social justice and advocacy is and was an integral part of my undergraduate experience. I facilitated a booth entitled, “A picture with your microaggression” in response to various racist, classist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, etc remarks stated directly or indirectly about marginalized students by fellow students and faculty.
  • The second event a coordinated was the creation and distribution of an “Accessibility Assessment of Campus.” This assessment was a survey that was distributed to current and former students who suffer from chronic, physical, and mental disabilities. The purpose of this survey was to gather Intel about the campus response to adhering to the needs of disabled students. Once all of the data was collected, I met with the deans of the school to present the information to them in hopes of addressing some of the institutional problems of campus (I.e. access and upkeep of ramps, fixing accessibility buttons, etc).
