DMHAS Officer duties consist of working as part of a team, under supervision of the ranking Officer or Officer In Charge, to ensure safety of patients, staff, and other employees of DMHAS. Complete reports various types reports when necessary (standard, arrest, and arrest warrants). Effect arrest via arrest warrant or custodial if/when necessary. Assist with and provide patient transports/escorts to and from on and off property locations. Complete tours/walkthrough assignments and post of DMHAS facility (Whiting Forensic Hospital). Occasionally fill position of Officer In Charge when necessary.
