Library Page, in which I gained an in-depth knowledge of the library set up, organized and restocked shelves, helped library patrons, as well as gained the ability to communicate with fellow employees.
Elementary School Tutor, in which I worked with young children in order to help improve reading comprehension and speed. From this experience, I gained an appreciation for patience as well as the ability to encourage students to strive towards achieving their goals.

As a Physics Teacher's Assistant, I am able to work with a teacher that I previously had in order to complete numerous grading assignments that need to be carried out each semester. I am specifically assigned to this particular teacher's lab classes, as I grade lab notebooks that the students complete each week.
As a student at the University of Findlay, I was able to apply to numerous work study jobs through the university. I was chosen to work at a local elementary school where I would tutor children ages ranging from five to eleven in reading. I was creative in implementing new strategies to help the children become more involved and excited about learning. I was also encouraged to take interest in the students' personal lives in order to create a relationship in which the children would be more motivated to enjoy the tutoring experience.
As a page at the Madison Public Library, I would stock the shelves with any books, DVD's, CD's, magazines, etc., as these items were returned to the library after an individual had previously checked them out. I also cleaned and repaired damaged books and library materials. Lastly, I would answer patrons' questions at the circulation desk.
At the University of Findlay, I am majoring in Physical Therapy with the expectation of graduating with a doctoral degree in 2016 if I am accepted into the graduate program for the upcoming semester of Fall 2013. I have taken coursework in Physics, Chemistry, Anatomy, Kinesiology, Statistics, Communications, Physiology of Exercise, Theatre, Computer Science, and Psychology. I am involved in numerous extracurricular activities, such as; Colleges Against Cancer and Physical Therapy Organization. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.97.
At Lake Erie College, I took general education courses for college credit while I was still attending high school. With these courses, I was able to obtain credit for numerous courses that I would not have to complete once I decided on a school after high school. I was also able to gain experience about the college atmosphere and learn the responsibilities of taking more challenging courses. I took coursework in Sociology, Math, and English. I had a cumulative GPA of 3.33.
