One of the hardest things to hear so early in your life is that you can't do something. There are only two options you have as a person on how to pursue your life after hearing those heart crushing words. On one hand, you can give up, let them win, sit and feel sorry for yourself. Your other option is to look fear right in the face and prove it wrong. Prove them wrong. I went with the second option. It may not have been easy, but it made me the mature, independent young woman I am today. I myself was a victim of bullying. Every day in school I would give it my all, but my all was never good enough for my peers. It was always a constant struggle to get out of bed and walk into school to face them. It is extremely hard to be a teenager during this generation. Every move you make is being judged at this very second. The sad part is, there is nothing you can do to change how other people act. I strive to be a good role model for my younger sister. Four years ago, she would've seen a sad and weak little girl. Now, I am proud to say that her older sister is strong and determined. I have a different mindset than most children my age. What I think about is success and courage. I know in my heart continuing on with my education will prove everyone who as ever told me I couldn't excel throughout my life wrong. It would be an honor to be a part of your team. My dreams will only get bigger. I will continue to grow and learn each and every day.
