I've worked as a pharmacy technician for multiple years. As a result of that work, I am very adapted to computers, am well organized and efficient, and continue to work hard each day. I enjoy staying busy throughout the day. I am a quick learner, enjoy improving and love becoming the best employee/team member that I can be.
While working installing security systems I learned how to work with my hands and picked up many new skills. One of those being able to break down complex tasks into manageable feats. Many times, I worked without supervision, allowing me to show that I am self-motivated.
Working as a CNA confirmed to me that I am motivated by helping people. It confirmed to me that I wanted to be in a career of helping people feel better and overcome their infirmities. It also taught me the importance of a good team, and how to be helpful as a team player.
As a result of nursing school, I have learned an extensive number of skills. Ameritech has done a great job to prepare me to help the patients that I come across. There have been many clinical experiences throughout my education preparing me for the work field and helping me feel prepared and ready.
I have been attending school at Ameritech College of Healthcare, were I have been working on my associate degree. I have loved the things that I have learned there about pathophysiology and the perspective on how to treat diseases, how to use medicine in a helpful enabling way and to learn how our bodies metabolize and distribute it. The most important thing that I've learned there is the way that they've taught me to care for people. In a holistic manor, in caring for every aspect of life. Not just helping them feel good physically but to feel good about their home lives, their work lives and their selves.
I have been going to school since 2017. My career path has always been in the healthcare field. I have taken many chemistry and biology classes. I have also taken Medical Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Terminology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology classes. I accomplished my CNA training in March of 2019 from Utah CNA training centers. I am also CPR and first aid certified as of January 2019, renew pending. I plan on gaining a Doctorate in Nursing and still on the way to finding where I best fit in the nursing world.
