My name is Haley Ahern. I just graduated from high school in May of 2021 with my Patient Care Technician Certification, OSHA Certification, and BLS/CPR certification. Nursing is something I have always wanted to do. Qualified Patient Care Technician with strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills. Trained in personal care and hygiene, sterilization and inventory management. Top-notch organizational, problem-solving and prioritization skills. Being in the healthcare field would mean everything to me. I haven't found anyone who will hire a PCT, so I am very interested in taking free GNA classes to obtain my certification and to be able to work. I love helping others.
I am dedicated and committed to optimal patient care and support and assisting medical staff with critical needs. Skillful in collecting specimens, cleaning rooms and managing dietary needs. Excellent communication and organizational skills combined with dependable nature.

I started taking nursing classes my sophomore year of high school. I absolutely loved it and still do! I knew from my first nursing class I wanted to be in the healthcare field. I have learned and grown so much since my first nursing class. Mrs. Teets, Mrs. Owens, and Mrs. White have helped me accomplish so much during my 3 years of learning with them. I have learned all the fundamentals of being a CNA and Patient Care Technician. I was supposed to obtain my CNA certification, but we weren't able to go to the nursing home to practice because of COVID. I would love to continue my career in the healthcare field as a CNA or GNA and will be willing to take classes for that!!
