I was employed with Frito Lay for 10 years.
Within that 10 years I started my employment off as a temporary packer, within 3 months I was hired on as a hourly part time packer ,after 2 years of being hired I was awarded a full time Packer/Quality Assurance bid, April 2015 i was Laid off due to the packaging department going to automation.
My responsibility as a packer was to either pick the correct amount of bags off a conveyor and pack in a box then placed on a pallet to ship, or I operated a semi automated machine where I just folded the packed boxes and placed on pallet for shipping.
I ensured that the machines were constantly running, fixing errors and fault when they occurred, checking the quality of the product bags, and packaging information to assure all was correct before shipping.
Other job responsibilities included cleaning of machinery when product or machinery was down.
