am a hard working individual who is a survivor of the illicit sex industry and a trafficking attempt. I am currently assisting Shannon Speaks and Shield NC with their work combatting human trafficking, I help Shield NC do research and I serve as the Outreach Director for Shannon Speaks, both nonprofits. Shannon Speaks is based out of Washington, DC and Shield NC is based out of Cary, NC. These are both volunteer opportunities I have took on to build my portfolio and have more involvement within the movement to end human trafficking. Aside from that I raise awareness independently within the movement to end human trafficking through holding community events and the maintenance of my facebook page, Trafficking Insights. Trafficking Insights is a platform on which I have gathered donations for various nonprofits through holding a pizza party (Cry Freedom Missions and Sisters of the Streets), conducted a seminar to educate the public about human trafficking (compiled through Polaris data and independent research), created a lighthearted comic book about human trafficking, as well as other things. It is my pride and joy. I do my work out of a desire to shield others from some of the horrific life experiences I have went through and make the world a better place. Outside of my human trafficking efforts, I have also worked as an administrative assistant, grocery stocker, retail team member with managerial duties, and within food service.
