I am a 19 year old college student at the College of St. Scholastica. I am the oldest of four kids in my family and have always been a huge caring support for them. I also am beginning my career in medicine as a nurse and would like to get as much experience as I can possibly get early on. I am a people-oriented person with a huge heart for caring and I will finish whatever task I put my mind on.
-On college campus position that has many different responsibilities: guiding outdoor programs, volunteering at Courage Kenny adaptive rock climbing, gear inventory, organization, CPR instructor, working as a rental office representative that helps customers pick-up orders and size gear, extensive training on different aspects of outdoor education.
-Works with students and members of the community of all different ages and abilities to ensure that experiencing the outdoors is accessible for all.
-Works very well with other staff while leading trips that involved planning destination, food, itinerary, marketing, and reaching out to participants.
-Had to learn extensive amount of skills in a short period of time and maintained them with excellence.
-Planned fun excursions, regulated schedules, monitored screen time, cooked meals, transported to activities, and cleaned home.
-Worked for several different families with children ranging from ages 2 to 12 years of age.
- Worked with children ages 6 months to 15 years, as well as adults. I also was one of our staff designated with working with students living with disabilities that needed extra support in class. I also helped train in new employees.
-Documented each student's progress and gave constructive feedback for areas that could be improved.
-Taught classes with 2-6 students at a time and had to effectively manage students with high energy in a safe way and encouraged students to practice!
-Certified as an Instructor as well.
-Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute: Fall 2019, Adaptive Rock Climbing at the College of St. Scholastica
-Haiti Mission Trip: March 2017, worked with children and women's community outreach through the local church.
-Slovakia Mission Trip: March 2019, worked through the local church in Pavlovce nad Uhom and reached out to the marginalized Roma people of the slums of Eastern Slovakia.
-Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Motocross Camp Counselor: June 2016-present, counselor for girls ages 6-16.
