Professional Experience
Office Administrator, 05/2021 - Current
Maven Wave Dallas, TX,

At Jensen's Marina I started off as a Assistant Office Administrator and then worked my way up and got promoted to the Office Administrator. Since we do offer many services at our marina, my role their does require a large amount of responsibility and should not be taken lightly. In terms of personal growth I believe my maturity has increased tremendously due to the professionalism required in a cooperation like this. I now view myself as a representation of the company which has taught me that my attitude, facial expressions, vocabulary all are important. When my manager is not there, being able to monitor what is going on in the office along with what is going on in the dock is imperative. Unplanned situations come up often forcing me to communicate and problem-solve in the most effective and efficient way possible. Some of my responsibilities as a Office Administrator are:

  • Delivered clerical support by handling range of routine and special requirements.
  • Supported office manager with proactive correspondence management, document coordination and customer relations.
  • Worked with upper management to complete complex projects on tight budgets within specific timelines.
  • Imputing invoices, customer information, and retail into Quickbooks.
  • Ordering retail items in our marina along with towel/linens for the Cottages we have on our property.
Restaurant Manager, 05/2020 - 11/2020
Taco Bell Fort Smith, AR,
  • Masons Famous Lobster Rolls was one of my first real jobs besides from a few part time jobs I had throughout high school. I believe this job impacted my personal growth significantly. Learning how to talk not only to my co-workers but also customers in a correct and appropriate way is something I will keep with me in new jobs and my career. Having so much authority being in charge was very humbling in my opinion. Using authority in the correct way rather than taking it for granted was something I learned and implement in my current job. Often times there were a myriad of important decisions having to be made in which I made the final call. This taught me to evaluate the situation at hand and quickly problem-solve and create the best solution or decision. Some of my responsibilities as a manager were:
  • Purchased adequate quantities of food, beverages, equipment and supplies.
  • Maintained safe working and guest environment to reduce risk of injury and accidents.
  • Met, greeted and encouraged feedback from customers and used feedback to implement positive changes within restaurant.
  • Being able to read and analyze a given situation and acting appropriately.
  • Having the ability to work fast but also focus on producing quality work.
Volunteer, 10/2017 - 08/2021
Copper Mountain Community College District Joshua Tree, CA,
  • Centennial Park helping hands were a group of volunteers who coordinated food, clothing and household items for disadvantaged individuals and families. Each week we would buy goods/ingredients, prepare beverages/snacks/meals and served every Sunday evening in downtown Fort Myers.
  • Volunteering for the less fortunate has made such a large impact in my life and I cherish the experience. Until you have been their for yourself seeing the same people wearing the same clothes each week isn't till you realize how different their lives are compared to ours. Knowing you did something each week for someone other than yourself is truly one of the greatest feelings you could have in my opinion. It was something I began to look forward to each Sunday as I built bonds and relationships for those that I was helping.
