Responsible for performing hearing screens on newborn babies
Additional responsibilities and skills include providing educational information and literature to parents, recording results and entering required data into system
This is a volunteer position - however, the position offers minimal supervision
Work is often performed alone but sometimes as part of a team
Additional skills include excellent communication skills and sensitivity when handling newborns, as well as communicating effectively with new parents
3.9 GPA : Coursework in Nutrition, Statistics, Anatomy and Physiology I & II, Biology, Clinical Chemistry and Microbiology
Member of National Honors Society : 3.9 GPA
Perform and document initial exams
Test newborn hearing using the ABaer System
Provide the highest quality of care to patients and their families
Maintain organized documentation and patient files
Ensure HIPAA compliance
Maintain patient privacy and confidential patient information.
