Point of Care
Detailed knowledge of Point of Care testing on glucose meters, AVOX and iSTATs; including regulations and guidelines for JACO and CLIA. Training/checkoffs for all staff that uses these analyzers. Performing monthly paperwork and documentations. Writing/updating IQCP, policies, and procedures to ensure smooth operations. Creating and implementing laboratory logs. Ordering supplies and ensuring calibrations, correlations, and quality controls were performed. (July 2019- November 2020)
Microbiology
Setting up different specimens on microbiology media, Performing and reading gram stains, Isolating/identifying pathogens from normal flora, and identifying which antibiotic would be most effective in treating the infection. Communication with other departments (pharmacy/infection control/primary physician) to obtain the best outcome.

Chemistry
Performing calibrations, quality controls, and maintenance for both EXLs. Basic part/reagent replacements, probe alignments, and troubleshooting when errors occur. Processing patient specimens, interpreting and releasing results.
Analyzers: Dimension EXL with LM Integrated Chemistry System
Serology/ Urinalysis
Performing maintenance, calibrations, correlations and quality controls on all instruments as well as processing patient specimens. Monitoring released results with log/analyzer printouts for entire lab to adhere to JACO guidelines.

Hematology/Coagulation
Daily maintenance and quality controls. Processing all specimens. Performing manual differentials and manual dilutions of specimens. Also conducting manual cell counts on different body fluids.
Analyzers: Sysmex XN-550, Sysmex CA-660
Blood Banking
Performing quality controls and patients testing. Blood typing, antibody screening, antibody identification, antigen typing, and crossmatching while adhering to the AABB guidelines to ensure blood products are compatible with patient receiving them.
Phlebotomy
Proficient in venipunctures (all age groups), arterial puncture (adult only), heel sticks (infant only), and finger sticks (adult). Assists in collecting/sorting/logging patient specimens, inspecting the labels, and properly arranging them for testing or storage.
Provide information for patient diagnosis and treatment in a timely manner by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting results in chemistry, hematology, serology, blood bank, and microbiology.
Accommodate hotel guests by registering them rooms, operating switchboard, solving occurring problems, and presenting statements to and collecting payments from departing guests.
