Enthusiastic and eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Motivated to learn, grow and excel in a dual career as a Recovery Coach and Peer Support Specialist, helping others find recovery and live their best life.
From 2011 to 2014 I was actively involved in my mental health treatment through Community Mental Health in Harrison and Midland offices. I participated in One on One counseling and DBT therapy. Through the skills training group, individual treatment, DBT phone coaching, and consultation team I learned life-changing skills of mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and emotional regulation. These core skills taught me self-care and retrained my mind so that I could be for me and not against me. Over time, all the skills I learned and put to practice helped me find my recovery from Borderline Personality Disorder and into a full life where I look forward with excitement for my every day! It was also a very powerful set of skills that helped me gain and maintain recovery from substance abuse. I recognize the incredible hope and life changing work done through the team at Community Mental Health and I am honored to have this opportunity before me to continue with my life experience and knowledge I have gained being a patient at CMH and time in recovery to help others to overcome barriers and live a successful life also.
