Looking to enhance leader skills by investing time into education relating to the healthy operation of Family living, and its effects on individuals in every aspect of life.
Family Time: With 6 children, I devote the bulk of my time after work to serving, caring for, and playing with my children and performing whatever tasks my wife requires to maintain her peace of mind. We go to the Beach, play at the park, change diapers, discipline disobedient behavior, read scripture, tell stories, dien together, pray together, laugh together and imagine together. It's pretty fun!
Home improvement: After buying our first home last year, I enjoyed learning about building wooden fences, laying down tile in the floor, drilling holes through the wall to insert a dryer exhaust, preparing and pouring cement for fence posts, building large wooden shelving units for extra storage in the garage, putting up magnetic screens, fixing sink leaks, replacing garbage disposals, cutting and reshaping lumbar, building a new driveway out of rocks, cutting and shaping tile with a wet saw, repairing broken vinyl flooring, caulking cracks and holes in the eternal struggle against the ant invasion. I learned all of these activities and conducted them for the first time during 2020.
When I was younger, I learned to play the guitar and sing. As it turns out, I had some talent for it, but chose to pursue missionary service instead of the offer to be the lead singer in a band. On four occasions, I performed rock music (ballads mostly) in a coffee house for a 4-hour period. I also enjoyed singing in musical theater productions, such as "The Christmas Carol" and "Damn Yankees."
