Responsibilities A Locate Technician locates and mark utilities that is buried underground.
I was doing contracts for one- call centers and the duties included: fulfilling locate requests (tickets) in a timely manner, safely operating a company vehicle to each job site, reading utility prints, contacting homeowners and contractors, using locating equipment to determine location of utilities, mark area with paint and/or flags that is specified for each utility, and conducting damage investigations.
Accomplishments I enjoyed working with my fellow employees and the public, also working outdoors.
It had a lot of responsibilities due to the fact that you were dealing with locating gas, electric and other major cables that can hurt someone if they weren't located right.

4. Delivers mail to customers along a prescribed route and on a regular schedule by a vehicle; collects monies and receipts for accountable mail; picks up mail from customers' roadside boxes.
5. Sells stamps, stamped paper and money orders; accepts C.O.D., registered, certified, and insured mail and parcel post; furnishes routine information concerning postal matters and provides requested forms to customer.
6. Returns mail collected, undeliverable mail, and submits monies and receipts to post office.
7. Prepares mail for forwarding amd maintains records of change of address information.
8. Prepares a daily trip report and maintains a list of the customers on the route.
9. Conducts special surveys when required.
10. Maintains an inventory of stamps and stamped paper as needed to provide service to customers on the route.
11. Provides for mail security at all times.
Accomplishments: I love working with the public and meeting new people. I enjoyed working there and all of the employees. It made me realize what really goes on behind the postal service and all of the steps it takes to get a letter or parcel. There's a lot more to mail then anyone knows and i really liked the whole experience. Skills Used The job is physically demanding. Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all types of weather. Carriers would have to load and unload trays and containers of mail and parcels weighing as much as 70 pounds. We were also required to drive both personal and USPS mail vehicles. When driving personal vehicles we would drive from the passenger's side of the car and that was a challenge at first but i got used to it.

I would do all of the shopping for groceries, clothing and school supplies along with household items.
