My name is Dylan Martinez, and I am an eager 19 year old who is extremely passionate about wealth building and personal finance! I am currently building up my credit, saving up money, and learning everything I can about becoming a landlord before buying my first rental property!
Detailed oriented person
Bilingual (English+Spanish) in speaking, reading and writing
Determinate and persistent individual
Creative problem solver and critical thinker
I wanted to also make clear that I have all the physical items needed to excel in this career opportunity such as: a laptop, ethernet cord(s) for high internet speed, microphone headset, a mouse and monitor, HDMI cables, keyboards, you name it!
In my spare time, I love to read books on finances, lift weights and cook, play with my german shepherd puppy, and spend time with my girlfriend!
During the hard-to-find-employment-pandemic last year, I took the remaining money in my checking account and went to my local Staples for eye-catching envelopes and resume papers then got creative! Proceeded to take a chance and knocked on the door of my local banks, brokerages, and financial institutions, looking for an opportunity as a loan processor. Movement Mortgage was very kind to open their doors to me and grant an opportunity as a loan officer and it has been history since!
Coming out of high school, I joined alongside my father and learned the sheet metal trade! The experiences I've had here, have instilled in me a hardworking and disciplined virtue that I will continue to carry with me throughout my life. Some assignments included:
My entire senior year of high school, after school hours, was spent learning the roles and duties of a retail sales associate! Here is a small, but by no means inclusive, list of tasks I came to master:
Entrepreneur/Hustler, James River High
September 2015 ~ June 2018
Early on, I knew that I was going to need a car to be mobile and expand myself in more money making opportunities, so I began saving aggressively with birthday money, my part time job, and any other dollar that came my way. Eventually, it struck me a brilliant idea to begin make money at school and that is exactly what I did!
I became the face of my old school's "black market candy dealer" by selling chocolate, chips, soda, gum and honey buns, to my old fellow sugar-craving classmates, and on some occasions, teachers!
Throughout this entire entrepreneurial journey, I was able to save $2,000 which I put all of as a down payment for my current car. This side hustle has taught me how to interact with strangers, market and sell, as well as making me becoming outgoing overall!
I have completed, and or currently have, gained the following:
I want to become a member of your team. I am a hard working, humble, and enthusiastic young man who wants to continue to immerse himself in the financial sector. All I ask is for an opportunity to show you what we can accomplish!
