My name is Jessica Maurice Claire but through family I tend to go by "Mauricio". I am a new and very much interested applicant in this particular field. I have worked approximately 9 years in the restaurant industry thus far but plan to expand my knowledge and skills to slowly transition into the hospital medical field. I've wanted to work in this area so that I can prepare myself for which the position I am interested in and applying for. I feel the experience I've gained within the years will definitely help me to my advantage for the position. For the future I do plan to enroll myself back into school fall 2020 to go for my registered nursing degree. The experience I have will most definitely help me to my advantage as far as jump starting into the medical field. I have a strong desire to do something that will not only help people but will make a difference. This is the next step in my life that I believe I need to take in order to get an idea of what it is like in the field for which I am interested. With my knowledge, skills for working at a fast pace and under pressure, being very well organized and focused, I personally feel that I will make a good asset for the position I am applying and if there is any type of opportunity to move forward while employed I will not hesitate to push myself to moving forward and striving for success!

  • Food service: I have just about 9 years of restaurant experience under my belt in almost every single area from hosting, to bussing, to dish washing, to prep-cook, to cook. serving.
  • Food handling procedures: I've been cooking since I was approximately 11 years old which gives me a lot of personal kitchen experience as well as others such as maintenance and money handling.
  • Food prep: Over the years of cooking I've done a pretty good job as far as rotating, organizing, labeling, FIFO (First in First out) system, and received my official food handlers certificate while employed with Buffalo Wild Wings.
  • Basic cooking procedures: From all the 9 years of experience of working in the restaurant industry I've grown to work quite well with being familiar with rotating product, knowing what to label, knowing temperatures, knowing and memorizing all recipes needed for my work station, keeping my area clean from sweeping, mopping, wiping, organizing all my tools. knowing howto properly open and close my station.
