It's been some years since I've worked in food service but I never lost my love for it. I honed my skills starting at 16 years old in Job Corps learning the culinary arts and I have since had experience with fast food, line cooking, menu planning, serving, prep work and one summer I helped a friend run an organic food cart at two southern Oregon festivals. There I got practical experience working in a small space while meeting customer demand and always maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. I take great pride in my customer service skills and have found that in this industry the best way to make right any problem for the customer is with respect and patience. Having a sense of humor also goes a long way!
