  • Support day to day administration of various firewalls, to support life cycle requirements and optimize system performance.

  • Evaluate MacAfee and application operation discrepancies in order to identify viruses' diagnostic troubleshooting resolutions.
  • Plan, design, develop, order, implement, and test software components, hardware and networks which affect the VA on many levels.
  • Restores operations, analyze problems and recommend new procedures to prevent recurrences of system failures.
  • Conduct routine social engineering tests and clean desk audits through working together with various Regional service lines and software vendors such as but not limited to VISTA App to ensure VISTA KIDS patches were installed before server updates.
  • Perform, track, and record solutions for a broad range of duties involving the technical operation of various integrated medical, computer, record keeping systems, Hand-held wireless, software, and hardware by a diverse customer group with varied skill levels.
  • Provide excellent Customer support to customers within the medical center and related clinics by providing advice, assistance, and training in hardware and software systems knowledge, along with excellent desktop support to over 200 employees by professionally analyzing and resolving complex issues while communicating with customers' information and instructions clearly and informatively in accordance to their technical knowledge, which include systems such as, but not limited to VISTA, Windows XP, Windows 7, Server 2008, MSOffice 2007/2010, Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), network servers, VPN's, RDP, servers and the equipment associated with each program.
  • Cisco router management through TACACS (Terminal Access Controller Access Control System) server access and console access to various CISCO switches.
  • Responsible for training technicians and student interns while providing leadership to accomplish IT mission goals through written and oral communication.
