My profession is nursing. I have held several coordinating positions, taught as adjunct faculty at a state university as well as staff, EMS and community education. I became unable to work a regular job in 2007. Since then, I have taught on-line, and worked as a independent contractor doing computer work. My schedule is flexible.
I have strong coordinating skills as well as strong leadership and communication qualities. I have chaired many committees and was often called on to managed difficult situations with patients and family. I am very organized and detail oriented. As a Stroke Center Coordinator, my team consisted of representatives from all clinical departments. I worked with 6 smaller hospitals to implement stroke protocols and guidelines and to provide support for hospital to hospital transfers. I have been a clinical educator as well as staff, EMS and community. I have lectured at large events for Stroke and American Heart Symposiums. I hosted a yearly event for ~300 guests including lunch and CE credits. I am proficient with Microsoft Office. |
