I have been working in the field for over 10 yrs. Most of my experience is local but I did travel to a small rural facility(Franklin Hospital, Greenfield, Ma. 80 beds) and to a large metro teaching facility(New England Medical Center, Boston, MA. over 1,000 beds). I have also recently worked in the home health care environment. In each situation, I have been thoroughly orientated and have taken assignments in all care areas. This entailed the use of different equipment, medications, supplies, computer software for charting and billing, learning the protocols, procedures and guidelines set forth by the facilities. Where in the bulk of my experience is in the critical care areas as the primary therapist (ICU,SICU,CCU, PICU and ER), I am also comfortable working in the NICU as a secondary therapist. Floor therapy cannot be over looked either. For, it is there, that with proper insight, assessment and diagnostic tools we can possibly advert a lengthy hospital stay. I have supervisory experience and have orientated many new employees and mentored students. I remain open minded and willing to learn!
