January 2003 Project Active Grant winner for WakeCounty. Schools applied in the county to receive 24 heart rate monitors and 12 downloadable heart rate monitors.

Taught Health and PE classes, Department Chairperson, Mentor for Beginning Teachers, Mentor Coordinator over the Beginning Teachers and Mentors, New Tech Advocate (for Project Based Learning), Coached HS Swimming and JV Basketball, Middle School Volleyball and Track. Started a American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and Water Safety Instructor Training Class at the High School. Worked collaboratively with the Southeast YMCA to train Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School students to be YMCA certified Lifeguards.
