Furniture Warehouse Delivery Seasonal resume example

I work whenever there's athletic events at the Student Activity Complex (SAC) such as football games, baseball games, soccer games, and many other sports. I mainly work with ticket sales and athletic event score-keeping. I also work as a gatekeeper and assist the custodians with maintaining the facility clean. I sometimes get called in to work in the office whenever they are understaffed and help with answering the phones & unloading the UPS deliveries with athletic equipment that the schools order. My favorite part from working at the SAC is unloading the UPS truck and organizing the boxes in the storage room & verifying each purchase order.

Wake up at 4am and would always be ready to get to work ahead of time. I never missed a day of work or clocked in late while working at Burlington for 4 months. My duties were to unload trailers with boxes of clothes and merchandise, sort out boxes on the moving belt, place those sorted boxes on pallets, move pallet to the right department and stock the merchandise (all of this at a very fast and safe pace). Warehouse workers would go in before the store open to work (usually 5am or 6am) to unload the trailer, so the very second we clocked in - I understood that there is no time wasted. I was one of the seasonal workers that were hired so my hours were part time hours. But, after my should would be over, I would get asked by the supervisor to stay and help out the full time workers. While on the floor restocking merchandise, I would also help Loss Prevention and monitor shoppers in the store. As well as helping the company in general with essential duties such as monitoring the floors if there's any wet spots and keeping the workplace clean and organized. I'm definitely a team player and meet goals & expectations and adapt to any changes.

I would organize shelves and maintain the product display nice and neat, keep the floor completely clean after restocking as if we were never there, work the cashier and provide customer service, and clean the restrooms & take out the trash. I would keep the displayed shelves very presentable. My favorite part of working at Dollar General was receiving the trailer on Monday mornings. I would go in at 6am and start unloading and restocking the entire store before it opened at 8am. I would restock at an extremely fast pace for those two hours because once the store would open, I would be moved to the cash register while the manager and the assistant manager would continue stocking and monitoring the store. There was only one cash register open with another as an option in case there were too many customers. So, my goal would be to make sure that second cash register would never open because that would take time away from the other worker (who would be stocking and monitoring the store) from their work shift. I understand how important it is to get your part/your job done so it won't effect your coworkers & the company in general. I understand how valuable time is to a successful company. I'm not here to slow the company down. I'm here to help contribute and be a valued employee that is ready to work and ready to help as much as possible.
