I am currently a senior at the University of Montana working towards a Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology along with a minor in Wildlife Biology and a certificate in Forensic Studies. I will be graduating December 2018. I have also been a volunteer firefighter for over 2 years and a seasonal wildland firefighter for 5 years. In the past, I served 3 years in the Montana Army National Guard as a Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Specialist (CBRN).

I started working for FRFD in the spring of 2016 as a non-traditional volunteer. My experiences with FRFD include responses to wildland fires, structure fires, EMS calls, and motor vehicle accidents (MVA). My training/certifications achieved with FRFD include Fire Fighter 1 (structure), the signing-off of my FFT1 wildland fire task-book, as well as various additional trainings including but not limited to fire tactics, EMS, MVA, & HAZMAT.

I have worked a variety of wildfires with A-1 Including a large and complex Rx burn in Helmville, MT. My job duties and responsibilities included being an independent resource and providing lookout and safety operations for multiple resources.

My MOS In the Montana Army National Guard was 74D (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives specialist). My job required me to be able to operate and perform exceptionally under dangerous and stressful conditions, often dealing with deadly and substances and in potentially hostile environments. I was released in October 2018 due to medical reasons with an Honorable Discharge. I was awarded the National Defense Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Montana National Guard Nobel Eagle Ribbon, and the Army Physical Fitness Patch.

I worked for Grayback Forestry Inc for a total of 3 seasons. My experiences with Grayback included: 5 separate type 2 Initial Attack hand crews, 3 different engines (type 3, type 6), and multiple Rx burns and fuel mitigation jobs, all of which took place in multiple states while working either independently or alongside various local, state, and federal agencies. My job duties and responsibilities included leading a five-man hand crew as a squad-boss trainee, and being the designated sawer for multiple 20 man hand crews.
