Organization's income: my first full year (2004) $79,506. Last full year (2012) $160,017.
Responsible for overseeing all activities within the organization. This included presiding at all meetings, participating in all committees, except nominating and audit committees. Available to the audit committees for questions & clarification. Overseeing all the divisions for football, cheerleading, arena football & wrestling.
Development, implementation and accomplishments:
Board of Directors governance assessment and guidance, Mission - Mission statement, Fiduciary Duties, Accountability, Leadership, Ethics, Conflict of Interest, Budget and Spending, Bylaws, Audits - Internally and Externally, Recruiting, Fundraising, Non profit legalities, Incorporation.
Reinstated the organization in "Good Standing" with the Secretary of State of Illinois after a 3 year lapse. Established Compliance with the IRS. Tax forms never filed. 3 past years of tax forms were then filed with the IRS. Found organization was not a 501(c)3 corporation in 2003. Filed the application and necessary paperwork and achieved nonprofit status with IRS. Found the the organization had not filed paperwork with the Illinois attorney's general office in over a decade. Filed 3 years of past paperwork and submitted the necessary paperwork to be in compliance with the attorney general's office.
Membership - ages 5-14 years of age (2004): 220 children. 2012: 350 children. Added an additional football and cheerleading divisions. Formed 3 wrestling divisions. Formed 3 arena football divisions. New game and practice fields established. Including stands that held up to 250 fans, an announcer's booth with a video filming deck. New scoreboard. New goal posts and newly sodded field. Also, a brick constructed concession stand with storage. A garage for additional storage. Was able to secure approximately $600,000 from the Burbank Park District to erect the Titan's campus in the 8 years as president. Also, increased a multitude of ways of fundraising including utilizing spirit wear, concession stand sales, etc. to support and grow our organization.
Coaching youth sports: football- 11 years, baseball- 6 years, girl's softball- 4 years.
Burbank firefighter's club- active member for 32 years including participating on bylaw and audit committees.
Burbank ESDA cadet 1985-1988.
Burbank Park District community improvement committee.
Participated in various activities involving the PTA with elementary schools & the booster club for the high school.
