I joined the Knights of Columbus at age 18 when my father and former field agent, John Kilpatrick, said sign this form 100 and come with me! The tradition continues as my son, Coley, turned 18 this year and is now a 3rd degree. Sales is a relationship business and I enjoy getting to know members through activities while at the same time being able to help people. My "why" in life is helping people. When the hurricane hit NC, the K of C answered the call. I organized a food drive with my General Agent and filled a truck load. We formed teams to drive and delivered immediate needs to those affected by the Hurricane for 3 months. I am active in my local council organizing an Art Auction and Golf tournament to help Women's homelessness and adults with mental difficulty. I have served on several boards and been a member of local business clubs to engage with like minded business people. I believe sports has taught me the most about life as a player and a coach. As a player I walked on to NC State University and earned All ACC accolades my senior year. Hard work and determination in a team atmosphere are integral parts to any organization. Creating lifelong relationships and maintaining relationships during my time at NC State is a blessing. As a coach I have learned so much from kids honesty, humility, dreams and the complexity of each individual. Coaching kids and working with families to help them achieve their goals is a direct parallel to what we do as Knights of Columbus Agents each day.
