  • I worked on night crew for a short period, which was similar to the dairy shift, except i did not manage the department and was not responsible for taking inventory or placing orders. i was however responsible for offloading pallets of food and products, stocking and rotating the products, and finally breaking down and bailing the cardboard at the end of the night.

  • I assisted with repairing and maintaining tractors and other farm equipment, which included regular greasing and oiling of moving parts such as chains and sprockets, slides and pins and any fitting with a grease zerk. it also involved replacing damaged components, and developing great diagnostic skills at an early age as there isn't a mechanic i can take the bailer to, so repairs would have to be carried out entirely by ourselves.
