Business Manager seeking position as an F&I Director offering 30 years experience in sales and F&I in an Automotive and Powersports retail setting. Specializes in F&I with a particular talent for building a solid, compliant, and profitable Finance Department along with maintaining excellent customer satisfaction throughout the sales and finance process.
Primary responsibility was to secure retail sales deals for the sales department by arranging financing for retail consumers through in-direct lending sources and secure funding from outside lending sources, along with handling all retail related documents, loan contracts, titling paperwork and managing Contracts In Transit portfolio. Also responsible for keeping team members up to date on all compliance mandates, keeping team informed and trained on all F&I products, all revised lender forms, programs, rates etc...and programming forms in the dealership OS, properly presenting and selling various finance products such as vehicle service contracts, credit life/disability ins., gap ins., and other related aftermarket F&I products in a menu format/presentation.
After spending twelve years in sales and sales management I decided it was time for something different. Here began my career on the F&I side of the business. My responsibilities were as a contractor/producer to generate and maximize revenue for the finance department selling all the typical F&I products listed above.
Opened and managed the Business Development Center which was a stand alone department opened for the sole purpose of developing plus business and customer follow-up by generating computer generated follow-up lists for salespeople on daily basis which included floor traffic customers, sold customers and orphan owners. This department increased sales volume by 25% and moved our CSI index up to 90% satisfied or totally satisfied.
Opened Training Department to train 30 salespeople on a daily basis on all aspects of selling automobiles, from Meet & Greet to the other 9 steps of the Road To The Sale including walkarounds, product knowledge, closing techniques and customer follow-up resulting in a closing ratio increase on floor-ups of about 10%.
Promoted to Sales Manager of Oldsmobile, Jeep-Eagle and Mitsubishi franchises from Assistant Sales Manager of Honda. Managed a 10 person sales force. Increased volume by an average of 25 units per month over previous management.
Promoted to Assistant Manager of the Honda Franchise from salesperson.
Sold Honda automobiles for 6 years before being promoted to to management.
