Explosive Detection Dog Handler AMK9 City, STATE,
  • Currently assigned on contract with the Baghdad Embassy Security Force and stationed at the U.S Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq
  • Daily duties include health and welfare of assigned explosive detection dog, training, maintaining shift work schedule.
  • Responsible for carrying and maintaining weapons qualification of M4 rifle and Glock 19 pistol. Maintain my K9 certification with my assigned dog, per regulations of Department of State
  • Daily shift work that includes maintaining security of entry control points and utilizing assigned Canine to search vehicles, equipment, open areas, and packages that visit the U.S Embassy.
  • Contracted via Department of State to uphold and maintain the safety and security of the outer and inner perimeters of the U.S Embassy with detection capabilities of explosive detection dog.
  • Work 10-12 hour shifts that include an average of 200 to 400 vehicles and 50 packages per shift.
