Diversity and Inclusion Specialist/Special Emphasis Programs Manager for the Office of Civil Rights, Diversity and Inclusion since July 2014.
Support the Agency's D&I program initiatives to ensure policies support diversity and inclusion goals, objectives, and established metrics;. Attend D&I meeting with Department lead and work closely with the Office of D&I Director on D&I issues. Back-up to Office of D&I Director in her absence.
For the following Special Emphasis Programs - Hispanic Employment, Asian American Pacific Islander Employment, American Indian/Alaskan Native Employment, and the Federal Women’s Programs - established agendas for quarterly meetings, shared information via email, including recruitment and job announcements; identified resources, discussed information pertaining to issues specific to each group including data, identified and encouraged training and planned annual events/observances.
Also, lead to analyze Affirmative Employment Program (AEP) (MD-715) data and determine barriers and deficiencies; Develop plans and objectives to increase hiring, recruitment, and retention opportunities for groups with low participation rates/underrepresentation. Provide input to the Human Resources Division on D&I initiatives and accomplishments for annual reporting.
